Description
Marked as circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 50m) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and as an area of broken ground on the 1940 ed. It is situated on the spine of a broad N-S ridge. It is now a quarry, but part of it could survive at N. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). Description
Marked faintly as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated in the basin of the River Sow with the N-S stream c. 300m to the SE. Located on a slight S-facing slope. A pit (Wth 3.5m; D 0.6m) filled with burnt and cracked stone and a spread of the same material (L 3.5m; T 0.3m) 2m to the W is apparent in the section of a land drain.
