Description
Marked as an embanked enlosure (ext. diam. c. 40-45m) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and faintly as a fragment of a bank at N on the 1940 ed. It is situated on a slight shelf overlooking a deep valley that opens out to the E, the bottom of which is c. 150m to the S. There are hilltops c. 370m to the NW and c. 900m to the S. There is a slightly raised grass-covered area (diam. c. 30m; H 0.3m). Description
Situated in a broad valley at the headwaters of the River Bann with the W-E stream c. 30m to the N. Although it is listed by Ranson (1945, 54) it was not marked on the 1940 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and nothing is visible at ground level in reclaimed pasture. Description
Situated in a shallow basin at the source of the W-E River Lask, with a slight hill c. 800m to the E and higher hills c. 2km to the NW in Co. Wicklow. This is a circular area (diam. c. 10m) defined by a wide water-logged fosse (Wth c. 10m) and an outer earth and stone bank (Wth 5m; ext. H 0.4m). There is a break in the bank (Wth 5m) at SE (max. ext. diam, c. 35m). Pond (WX006-083002-) c. 30m to the NE. It is now within a coniferous wood. Description
Situated in a shallow basin at the source of the W-E River Lask, with a slight hill c. 800m to the E and higher hills c. 2km to the NW in Co. Wicklow. This is a circular area (diam. 8.2m) surrounded by a wet fosse (Wth 4.5–5.8m; D 0.8m) and an outer earthen bank (Wth 1.5–2m). It is truncated by a NW-SE field bank at SW (max. ext. diam. 21.5m). Pond (WX006-083003-) is c. 30m to the SW. It is now in a coniferous wood.
