Description
Located on a level landscape. The cropmarks of a field system covering c. 4 ha (10 acres) are visible on aerial photographs (CUCAP: BDJ 2; ASIAP (265) 18-20). The fields (dims c. 100m x c. 30-60m) are defined by single ditch-features and two small enclosures (WX048-027001-; WX048-027002-) are incorporated into it and appear to be contemporary. Description
Located on a level landscape. The faint cropmark of a circular enclosure (diam c. 15m) defined by a slight ditch feature that is incorporated into the ditches of field system (WX048-027-----) is visible on aerial photograph (CUCAP, BDJ 2). It is not visible at ground level in a cereal crop. The enclosure site (WX048-027002-) is c. 10m to the SW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996).
