Description
The fSituated on a gently undulating landscape. The cropmarks of a fragmented field system covering c. 40 acres (10 ha) is visible on aerial photographs (ASIAP (102) 8-20; MM (10) 0) and on digital aerial photographs taken in July 2006 (WX048-113_1 to _6). There are some rectangular fields (dims. c. 30m x at least 50m) defined by single ditch features. Within the system are cropmarks of an enclosure (WX048-113004-), a rath (WX048-113006-), and two ring-ditches (WX048-113002-; WX048- 11306-). Description
Situated in a gently undulating landscape. The cropmark of portion of a rectangular enclosure (dims c. 40m NE-SW; c. 30m NW-SE) defined by a single fosse feature is visible on aerial photograph (MM (10) 1) and digital aerial photographs (WX048-113_3 to _6) taken in July 2006. It is truncated by a NW-SE field bank at SW and its fosse encounters the fosse of rath (WX048-113005-) at E. It is within the field system (WX048-113----) and it may be a small field. Description
Situated in a gently undulating landscape. The cropmark of a circular enclosure (diam. c. 45m) defined by a single wide fosse feature (Wth c. 3-4m) is visible on aerial photographs (ASIAP, WX 102, 15-18: MM (10) 1) and digital aerial photographs (WX048-113_1 to _6) taken in July 2006. It is within the field system (WX048-113----), but may be unconnected with it. The ring-ditch (WX048-113006-) is c. 20m to the E and its fosse encounters the fosse of enclosure (WX048-113004-) just to the W. It is also visible on the OSi series of aerial photographs (2000). Description

Situated on a level landscape. The cropmark of a D-shaped enclosure (dims c. 30m E-W; c. 30m N-S) is visible on aerial photographs (ASIAP (4) 15-20). It is defined by an E-W field bank and townland boundary with Cumshinstown at S, the cropmark of a N-S field bank and drain that is marked on the 1839 and 1940 eds of the OS 6-inch map at E, and the cropmark of a curved fosse feature (Wth c. 3m) W-N. Description
Detached three-bay two-storey farmhouse, extant 1840, on a T-shaped plan centred on single-bay single-storey gabled projecting porch to ground floor. Occupied, 1901; 1911. Renovated, ----. Hipped slate roof with clay ridge tiles, paired rendered central chimney stacks having concrete capping supporting terracotta or yellow terracotta tapered pots, and replacement galvanised rainwater goods on rendered slate flagged eaves retaining wrought iron brackets. Replacement cement rendered walls bellcast over rendered plinth. Hipped segmental-headed central door opening into farmhouse with cut-granite step threshold, reeded timber pilasters on cut-granite padstones supporting shallow cornice, and concealed dressings framing timber panelled door having sidelights below fanlight. Square-headed window openings with cut-granite sills, and concealed dressings framing six-over-six (ground floor) or three-over-six (first floor) timber sash windows. Set in landscaped grounds with roughcast-panelled rendered piers to perimeter having chamfered capping supporting wrought iron double gates.
