Description
Within the E half of a cashel (GA095-005----). This children's burial ground consists of a roughly square area (21m N-S; 21m E-W) delimited by a line of boulders. Within it lie numerous small set stones indicating graves. Two larger slabs are visible at W; immediately to SE is a plain stone cross. Description
In a broad shallow depression in gently undulating pastureland to the N of Dunbulcaun Bay. A stream, now channeled, flows c. 120m to the W. This fulacht fiadh, along with two others (GA095-166---- and GA095-167----), was revealed while ploughing in 1984. It consists of a roughly circular area of dark soil (11.6m E-W;10.5m N-S; H 0.4m) composed of two areas of small fire-fractured stones, flanking a roughly central area of fine dark-grey stone-free clay. Some 10m to the S is another small area of dark-grey fine clay (E-W 2m). Possibly a hearth but no charcoal is discernible. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 9 March 2017

Description
Some 40m to the SE of another fulacht fiadh (GA095-165----) and revealed as a result of ploughing. An indistinct roughly oval area (12m by 9m) is defined along its S side by a low scarp (H 0.5m). It is similar in character to the other fulacht fiadh but with less stone in evidence. Some 5m to the SW is a small indistinct patch of dark soil with occasional stones. Description

Description
On a hillock close to N shore of Dunbulcaun Bay, near the estuary of the Ballynamanagh River. Described by Holt (1912, 235-6) as a ‘great rath, now much ravelled and in part obliterated …. The garth may have been about 195 ft. [c. 59.5m] in diameter …. A shallow ditch, between two feeble banks, remains on the W. side’. The rath is defined by two banks and an intervening fosse from SW to WNW; otherwise no visible surface trace survives. Irregular-plan limestone pier, built c.1860, having recessed parts. Slightly battered dressed coursed block walls, corners rounded. Grassed surface with cut limestone mooring posts.

Description
Detached five-bay single-storey vernacular house with attic storey, built c.1800, having flat-roofed windbreak to front (south) elevation. Pitched thatched roof with raised ridge, and low rendered chimneystack. Painted smooth rendered walls. Square-headed window openings having painted render surrounds, painted stone sills and replacement timber windows. Round-headed opening to windbreak, with square-headed door opening within porch, having replacement half-glazed timber door. Outbuilding to rear having pitched corrugated-iron roof, rendered walls and square-headed openings. Wrought-iron pedestrian gate set to rendered piers in rendered boundary wall to front garden.

Single-arch cut limestone bridge, built c.1820. Round-arch with cut-stone voussoirs. Cut-stone walls, piers, impost course, tooled string course and parapet walls. Rubble stone revetments to river bank.

Description
Limestone lock, built c.1780, on short canalised waterway, now disused. Coursed tooled cut limestone walls, with rebate for lock gates, and with curved ends to south. Lock gates missing. Rubble stone revetments to waterway.
