Description
In White Lough, c. 80m from the shoreline. Recorded by Davies (1942, 19; ITA Survey 1946). Circular crannóg (diam. c. 25m) consisting of a log platform with stone kerb around the edge. A small arc of juxtaposed logs are exposed on one side. Tradition of stone causeway but depth of lake makes this unlikely. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995).
