  Description

  Raised oval area (int. dims. 33.5m WNW-ESE; 28m NNE-SSW) enclosed by a substantial, although partly denuded, earthen bank and a wide, shallow fosse modified and incorporated into the field drainage system. An earlier report (OPW 1968) suggested that the original entrance was probably at SE. Densely overgrown with vegetation. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995).
