H 2.5m) and outer fosse (wth 3m; D 0.5m) with possible entrance gap (Wth 6m) at E. A small bank in the SW sector of the interior encloses an irregular-shaped area and is probably a feature associated with a nearby farmhouse which is located to the NNW. Description
Situated on a SE-facing slope in rough, wet meadow. Another ringfort (TN023-022002) is situated 11m to the N and a possible standing stone (TN023-022003) c.30m to the NE. H 0.66m; ext. H 0.55-1.1m) and outer fosse (Wth 1.4m; D 0.66m). A gap (Wth 6m) in the bank with a causeway over the fosse at E probably represents an original entrance which has been widened. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
