Description
Road bridge (Wth c. 6.7m) over highest tidal point of stream, to N of Coolmain Bay. Three segmental arches with low pointed breakwaters on upstream side. Description
Freestanding T-plan gable-fronted double-height Roman Catholic church, dated 1790. Comprising two-bay nave (north) with two-bay transepts to sides (west, east) and two-bay chancel to rear (south). Single-storey porches to front elevation and side elevations of transepts (east, west). Recent single storey sacristy to side (east) of chancel and chapel (west) extensions to rear (south) of transepts. Pitched slate roofs, having ashlar limestone belfry surmounted by cross finial to front elevation. Recent uPVC and slate canopy to nave and transepts. uPVC rainwater goods. Recent rooflight to eastern transept. Dressed rubble stone walls, having coursed dressed limestone walls to front porch. Rendered walls to sacristy, chancel and chapel, side and rear elevations of transepts and porches. Round-headed window openings with painted sills to nave and transepts, having limestone voussoirs, rendered reveals and replacement timber-framed, lead-lined stained glass windows. Round-headed window openings and central cruciform window opening to chancel, having lead-lined stained glass windows. Pointed arch window openings with painted sills to transept porches, having render reveals and lead-lined stained glass windows. Pointed arch window openings to sacristy (south) having timber framed, lead-lined lattice windows. Recent square-headed window openings to transept gables having timber-framed and lead-lined stained glass windows. Square-headed window opening to sacristy extension having uPVC casement window. Round-headed door opening to front elevation of front porch, having dressed limestone voussoirs, stepped approach and double-leaf glazed timber doors surmounted by overlight. Pointed arch door opening to side (east) elevation of front porch and front (north) elevations of transept porches, having timber battened doors. Square-headed door opening to sacristy extension having uPVC door. Timber galleries to interior of nave (north) and transepts with organ to western transept gallery. Timber tie beam and arched brace roof having timber collars and stone corbels. Marble lectern and altar to chancel. Cut limestone baptismal font to west transept. Graveyard to north-east within rubble stone enclosing wall.

Detached three-bay two-storey parochial house, built c.1940, having three-bay elevations to sides (north, south), additional pitched roof extension to side (north) and recent lean-to extension to rear (west). Recent uPVC conservatory to front (east). Hipped slate roof with overhanging timber clad eaves, red brick chimneystacks and uPVC rainwater goods. Roughcast rendered walls, having raised render crucifix with surround to first floor front elevation. Square-headed window openings with render sills on channelled scroll corbels throughout, having raised render surrounds. One-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows to ground floor of front elevation. Timber-framed, four-pane windows to first floor. Tripartite timber-framed windows to side (south) elevation having central two-over-two pane timber sliding sash window flanked by one-over-one timber sliding sash sidelights. Tripartite timber-framed windows to rear elevation having central one-over-one pane timber sliding sash window flanked by one-over-one pane timber sliding sash sidelights. Two-over-two and one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows to side (north) elevation. Multiple-pane stairwell window to eastern end bay of side (north) elevation. Two-over-two pane timber sliding sash window to pitched roofed extension. Wrought-iron guard bars to ground floor window openings. Square-headed door opening within timber-framed doorcase to interior of conservatory to front elevation, having timber-panelled door with glazed timber panels and three-pane overlight. Timber door surround to opening, comprising channelled pilasters surmounted by capped channelled consoles, frieze and cornice. Fleurs-de-lis ridge cresting to cornice. Four-bay two-storey garage and stable to east with pitched slate roof, uPVC rainwater goods, rendered walls, square-headed openings with timber-framed windows and timber battened doors. Rubble stone boundary wall to east, west and north of site enclosing garden to north. Gate openings to roadside (north-east), having square-profile capped rubble stone gate piers. Pedestrian gate opening to school (south-west).

Freestanding moulded concrete telephone box, c.1950. Painted walls, moulded concrete cap and plinth, with fixed small pane glazed panels and half-glazed timber door. Set into alcove formed by rendered walls. Replacement telephone to interior.

Rendered walls having shell, glass and pebble aggregate, with render quoins, plat and sill bands to front (south) elevation. Square-headed window openings with render sills throughout, front elevation having, render surrounds and one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows. Square-headed window opening to side (west) elevation, having replacement uPVC window. Round-headed door opening to house with channelled render door surround, having recent glazed timber door and single-pane fanlight. Render shopfront to ground floor of front elevation, comprising channelled pilasters surmounted by capped scroll consoles, frieze and cornice. Inset ceramic tiles to consoles. Square-headed timber-framed fixed-pane display windows with render sills surmounting stall risers flanking square-headed door opening with channelled render door surround, having replacement aluminium door.
