Other external alterations include the removal of the structural braces to the south-west, rear corner of the building and the removal of an existing external, metal fire escape stairs to the south-west corner of the building and the provision of a new, weather proofed replacement metal fire escape stair. The replacement stair will continue to provide a means of escape from the adjoining Hely Building and will also combine at the lower level with the external escape stairs serving the nearby Dame Court Building to the south-west. A new internal drainage system is proposed together with all associated site works.
