Description
Situated on the SW-facing slope of a gentle hill in undulating pasture. Indicated as a circular enclosure on the 1952-3 ed. OS 6-inch map. The site was levelled c. twenty two years ago when a bungalow was built immediately to the NE. Not visible at ground level. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). Description
Situated on the W-facing slope of a hill in pasture. The site is very overgrown with scrub and brambles and it was not possible to measure the internal diameter. The site is enclosed by a broad earthen bank (Wth 2.1m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.83m), a shallow fosse (Wth 4.8m; D 0.29m) and a field boundary which may have been an original outer bank (Wth 1.5m; ext.
