- GA114-106001 Ringfort - rath
Description
In level pastureland. Marked on the 1838 edition of the OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) with a ‘Cave’ in the interior. McCaffrey (1952, 283) classified the monument as an ‘Earthen fort (?)’ and noted that it ‘contained a souterrain’; however nothing remained of the fort. Due to field clearance, no visible surface trace survives. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 9 January 2018
- GA114-107 Ringfort - rath
Description
On a slope in pastureland. Circular rath (diam. 30.8m), in fair condition, defined by a tree-planted bank of earth and stone with traces of internal stone-facing. There is an entrance gap (Wth 1.5m) at SE outside of which a low rectangular stony platform (L 3.5m; Wth 2.2m) is visible; it may be associated. There is a souterrain (GA114-107001-) within the NW quadrant of the interior. (McCaffrey 1952, 283, no. 81a) Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 9 January 2018
- GA114-107001 Souterrain
Description
Within the NW quadrant of a rath (GA114-107----). This partially collapsed and inaccessible souterrain (L >16m) is L-shaped in plan. The long axis (L 10m) runs N-S and is indicated by an area of collapse (L 6m) and a slight rise (L 4m). The short axis (L 6m) extends off its SE end and runs E-W. It is possible to view this section through a gap at its W end. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 9 January 2018
- GA114-108001 Enclosure

Description
In an area of rough pasture. This subrectangular house site (8m E-W; 5.15m N-S) is defined by a low bank of stone and earth from W to N to S. It is unclear if it is the house noted by McCaffrey (1952, 284) or else a smaller house close to or on the site of the former. Compiled by: Olive Alcock Date of upload: 21 September 2017
- GA114-108003 Enclosure

- GA114-108004 House - indeterminate date
Description
Described by McCaffrey (1952, 284) as a rectangular house site (c. 14.3m by c. 7m) defined by a bank. A smaller house site (see GA114-108002-) is visible in this area.
