  Detached three-bay single-storey over part raised basement house, extant 1837, on a T-shaped plan with single-bay (three-bay deep) full-height return abutting two- or four-bay full-height parallel block (south). Sold, 1990, to accommodate alternative use. Hipped slate roof on a quadrangular plan behind parapet with hipped slate roof abutting hipped double-pile (M-profile) slate roof (south), clay ridge tiles, cement rendered chimney stacks having concrete capping supporting terracotta or yellow terracotta pots, and concealed rainwater goods retaining cast-iron octagonal or ogee hoppers and downpipes. Roughcast wall to front (north) elevation with cut-granite stringcourse supporting parapet; roughcast surface finish (remainder) bellcast over rendered plinth. Central door opening approached by flight of six cut-granite steps between wrought iron railings. Square-headed flanking window openings. Paired square-headed window openings (basement) with cut-granite sills, and concealed dressings framing three-over-six timber sash windows without horns. Square-headed window openings (remainder) with cut-granite sills, and concealed dressings framing replacement aluminium casement windows replacing six-over-six timber sash windows. Set in relandscaped grounds.

Hipped slate roofs on a U-shaped plan centred on pitched slate roofs (south), clay or terracotta ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks having stringcourses below capping supporting terracotta pots, and cast-iron rainwater goods on slightly overhanging timber boarded eaves having paired timber consoles with cast-iron rainwater goods (south) on rendered eaves retaining cast-iron hoppers and downpipes. Rendered walls. Elliptical-headed central door opening in elliptical-headed recess approached by flight of seven cut-granite steps between cast-iron railings, concealed dressings framing timber panelled door having oversailing fanlight. Square-headed flanking window openings in tripartite arrangement with cut-granite sills, carved timber mullions, and concealed dressings framing two-over-two timber sash windows having one-over-one sidelights. Paired square-headed window openings (basement) with cut-granite sills, and concealed dressings framing three-over-six timber sash windows without horns behind wrought iron bars. Square-headed window openings (remainder) with cut-granite sills, and concealed dressings framing two-over-two timber sash windows (north) or six-over-six timber sash windows without horns (south). Interior including (ground floor): central hall retaining carved timber surrounds to door openings framing timber panelled doors, and plasterwork cornice to ceiling; and carved timber surrounds to door openings to remainder framing timber panelled doors with timber panelled shutters to window openings. Set in landscaped grounds with roughcast boundary wall to perimeter having rubble granite coping.

  Gateway, extant 1837, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of cut-granite cylindrical piers having cornices below fluted domed capping supporting spear head-detailed cast-iron double gates with rendered chamfered outer piers having cut-granite shallow pyramidal capping supporting spear head-detailed cast-iron railings. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Abilene.

Hipped slate roof on a T-shaped plan centred on pitched (gabled) slate roof (porch), clay ridge tiles centred on rendered chimney stack having "Cyma Recta"- or "Cyma Reversa"-detailed cornice below capping supporting terracotta pots, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves having consoles. Rendered, ruled and lined walls on rendered chamfered plinth with rusticated rendered piers to corners. Camber-headed central door opening approached by two cut-granite steps, and moulded rendered surround with hood moulding centred on keystone framing glazed timber panelled double doors. Camber-headed flanking window openings with cut-granite sills, and moulded rendered surrounds with hood mouldings centred on keystones framing one-over-one timber sash windows. Pitched double-pile (M-profile) slate roofs centred on pitched (gabled) slate roof (breakfront); flat-topped mono-pitched fibre-cement slate roof centred on flat roof (porch), clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks having corbelled stepped capping supporting terracotta or yellow terracotta octagonal pots, decorative timber bargeboards to gable on timber purlins, and cast-iron rainwater goods on timber eaves boards having paired timber consoles retaining cast-iron downpipes. Rendered, ruled and lined walls. Square-headed central door opening into house with concealed dressings framing glazed timber panelled door having sidelights on panelled risers.
