Situated on a gentle NW-facing slope. Two wide fosses, visible as cropmarks on aerial photograph (CUCAP, ASU 41), form the sides of a possible rectangular enclosure (dims. c. 45m NW-SE x 30m NE-SW). No trace of the other sides despite good conditions for preservation. Not visible at ground level. Description
Situated on a gentle W/SW-facing slope at the foot of a steeper slope. Circular mound (diam. 24m; H 2m) with a central polygonal cist which produced the disarticulated remains of an adult male accompanied by a decorated neolithic bowl (Raftery 1973a, 214-19). (Brindley et al 1983; Brindley and Lanting 1989-90; Ryan 1973, 120-27). Not visible at ground level. There is a standing stone (WI021-079----) 150m to the WSW. Description
Single-arch road bridge over the River Slaney, built c.1815. The bridge is constructed in coursed rubble with dressed granite voussoirs to the large arch. There is a low parapet to the west side, however that to the east is now largely obscured by grass.
