Description
Situated just below the brow of a hill on a NE-facing slope of rising ground in an upland area. Originally a circular area (diam. 21m N-S) enclosed by a well-preserved earth and stone bank (Wth 3m; int. H 1.7m; ext. H 2-2.5m) and outer fosse (Wth 2m; D 0.4-1m) with no entrance feature visible. The bank is destroyed at S by an intersecting field fence on an E-W axis. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Description
Situated on a S-facing slope of rising ground in an upland area with a nearby possible ringfort (TN034-062) to the SE. A raised circular area (diam. 31m N-S) enclosed by two earth and stone banks with intervening fosse (Wth 3m; D 2m) and causewayed entrance (Wth 2.5m) at NW. The inner bank (Wth 1.5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.5m) is mainly reduced to a scarp while the outer bank (Wth 3m; ext. H 1m) is best preserved at W.
