Description
On a hill in undulating grassland. Subcircular rath (diam. 36m), in fair condition, defined by a scarp, intervening fosse and outer bank. It has been disturbed at SE where field-clearance rubble is piled upon the enclosing elements. A field wall overlies the outer bank. Description
Detached four-bay single-storey vernacular house, built c.1800. Pitched thatched roof with low rendered chimneystacks and render eaves course. Smooth rendered walls. Square-headed openings to front (north) elevation, having timber panelled door and one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows with stone sills. Double-leaf vehicular gate to north flanked by rendered piers having stone capping.

Rendered lined-and-ruled walls having render plinth and eaves courses and decorative render quoins. Roughcast render with smooth render plinth course to porch. Square-headed replacement uPVC door to porch. Square-headed window openings to front elevation and porch, having painted sills, render surrounds and replacement uPVC windows. Square-headed replacement uPVC door to porch. Yard and garden to front of house, with limewashed rubble boundary wall. Farmyard to west, with outbuildings having pitched corrugated-iron roofs and rendered walls with square-headed openings.
