Circular area (33m N-S; 35.5m E-W) defined by scarp (H 1.7m); with shallow fosse W->N. Scarp terraced to S; slight inner lip survives to NE. Interior rises towards centre. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
