  Description

  There is no trace of the 'Standing Stone' marked on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map. Situated on fair pasture land on a N facing slope. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.'   Description

  The 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch maps marks two standing stones here but only one is now extant. It is 1.75m high × 1m wide at base × 0.4m thick; E-W. Situated on good pasture land on the S slopes of a hill. Site revisited in 2003 and described as the stone is aligned NNE-SSW. There are at least six large buttressing stones, now lying flat at its base. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.'
