Description
Situated on the N end of a gentle ridge in an otherwise flat valley, under pasture. Depicted as a circular enclosure on the 1st ed. The site has been levelled (approx. diam. 33m) but the kink in the earth and stone field bank remains. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). H 0.7m) with a possible entrance (Wth 3.4m) at N. Field boundaries leading up to SW and NE quadrants, as depicted on 1st ed. and current OS 6-inch maps, have been levelled.
