Identified as a circular enclosure during examination of aerial photographs (BGE 1/5000, 82) taken 03/11/1984 on the Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline. Monument is visible as a levelled circular-shaped cropmark (diam. c. 60m) on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13. Visible on Google Earth orthoimage dated 18/11/2018 where it is truncated at N and S by a drainage ditch running N-S and intersected at SE by a drainage ditch running E-W.   Description

  Double-arch limestone road bridge over the River Aherlow, built c. 1880, having V-cutwater to south elevation. Dressed voussoirs to segmental-headed arches. Roughly dressed parapet walls with rock-faced copings.
