- KE066-002 Ringfort - rath
Description
In pasture, at the convergence of four field boundaries. This rath is indicated on the 1846 OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 40m) with field boundaries radiating from the NE, E, W and NW arcs. It has been levelled and the remains consist of a roughly circular area (c. 26m N-S) defined by a low rise (H c. 0.6m). Compiled by: Elizabeth Byrne, Ursula Egan and Sheila Ronan, Archaeological Survey Unit, University College, Cork. Date of upload: 31 January 2011
- KE066-003 Ringfort - rath
Description
In pasture, on a hillock. A roughly circular area (c. 38m E-W; c. 36m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.3m; int. H 1.4m; ext. H 1m) ENE-NW and by a scarp (H 1.4m) NW-ENE. A concrete farmyard is situated immediately outside a poorly preserved portion of the bank at S. Apart from this poorly preserved portion, the bank along the S arc is stone-faced though the stone-facing is of recent appearance. There are breaks in the bank along the SE and SW arcs where gateways occur. The interior slopes gently down to the N; the ground level in the N portion has been slightly raised to compensate for the hillslope. A concrete wall skirts the bank externally SW-W. Field boundaries abut the bank at W and NW. Compiled by: Elizabeth Byrne, Ursula Egan and Sheila Ronan, Archaeological Survey Unit, University College, Cork. Date of upload: 31 January 2011
- KE066-004 Ringfort - rath
Description
In level pasture, on a gentle S-facing slope. This rath is not visible at ground level. According to the landowner, it was levelled during land reclamation in the 1970s. He recalls a flat area defined by a single bank; he also recalls a souterrain (KE066-004001-) but is unsure if it was associated with this or with a neighbouring rath (KE066-005----) c. 70m to the SE. Cropmarks of the bank and external fosse of a circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) are visible in an aerial photograph (GSIAP, V 392-3). Compiled by: Elizabeth Byrne, Ursula Egan and Sheila Ronan, Archaeological Survey Unit, University College, Cork. Date of upload: 31 January 2011
- KE066-004001 Souterrain
Description
In level pasture, on a gentle S-facing slope. According to the landowner, a souterrain in this field is associated with one of the two raths (KE066-004----, KE066-005----) in the same field. There are no visible remains of the souterrain. Compiled by: Elizabeth Byrne, Ursula Egan and Sheila Ronan, Archaeological Survey Unit, University College, Cork. Date of upload: 31 January 2011

Description
In pasture, on an elevation with commanding views in all directions. This possible rath is not visible at ground level though there is a slight dip towards the centre of the elevation. It is indicated as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 40m) on the 1846 OS 6-inch map. Compiled by: Elizabeth Byrne, Ursula Egan and Sheila Ronan, Archaeological Survey Unit, University College, Cork.
