Description
Marked only on the 1914 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and described as an ancient well (OS Name Books). Situated on a gentle S-facing slope, and described as a spring well (Gannon 1972), it is no longer visible at ground level in pasture. Kilmore church (RO018-002003-) is c. 130m to the WNW. Description
On the SW-facing slope of a low drumlin with a small NNW-SSE stream c. 90m to the W. Circular overgrown area (diam. 30m N-S; 29m E-W) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 3.4-4.6m; int. H 0.2-0.6m; ext. H 1.3-1.6m) which has been reduced to a scarp (H 1.1-1.2m) W-ENE, and a complete outer fosse (Wth of base 1.1-1.2m; D 0.3-0.6m) which has been re-cut as a deep drain (Wth of base 2-2.2m; D 1.3-1.4m) E-S-W. There is no visible entrance. Mass-rock (RO018-010002-) is just outside the fosse at SE, rath (RO018-009----) is c. 210m to the W, and rath (RO018-011----) is c. 90m to the ENE. Description

Description
On a low drumlin. Circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 34m E-W; 32m N-S) defined by an overgrown, flat-topped earthen bank (Wth of base 3.5-4m; Wth of top 2-2.3m; int. H 0.3-0.5m; ext. H 0.9-1m) which is reduced to a scarp N-NE, and an outer fosse (Wth of base 2.6-2.8m; D 0.4-0.8m) ENE-S-WNW. There is no visible entrance. Rath (RO018-010001-) is c. 90m to the WSW. Description
On a gentle E-facing slope, c. 400m from Lough Boderg to the E. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 39m E-W) defined by the base of an earthen bank (at W: Wth 3.5m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.3m) WSW-ESE separated by a fosse (Wth of base 1.9-2.3m) from the base of an outer bank (at E: Wth 4.6m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.3m) WSW-ESE which survives intact (Wth 4.2m; int. H 1.3m; ext. H 0.9m) WSW-NW. There is an outer fosse (Wth of base 2.8m; D 0.2m) NW-ESE, but there is no visible entrance. An ENE-WSW field drain crosses the site towards the perimeter at S, and the perimeter cannot be traced S of this feature. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
