- TN015-075 Mound
Description
Situated on a NW-facing slope in gently undulating terrain. Indicated as an enclosure on the 1st ed. (1843) OS 6-inch map and as a mound on the 1903 ed. Site levelled a few years ago according to landowner. Not visible at ground level. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 22 September 2008

Description
Situated on a NW-facing slope in undulating terrain. A circular area (diam. c. 22m) surrounded by a high, substantial earthen bank (Wth 2.8m; int. H 1m; ext. H 0.62m) with no visible fosse at ground level. There are high mounds of dumped wood and vegetal debris in the interior at N and E while uprooted trees and scrub have been deposited against the external face of the bank. This appears to represent the remains of an outer bank which was recently levelled.
- TN015-078 Ringfort - cashel
Description
Situated on natural rock outcrop which slopes steeply from S to W with a more gradual slope at N and E. A drystone wall (0.9m T; max. int. H 0.75m; max. ext. H 1.25m) retains the top of this hill (diam. 47.2m N-S; 56.6m E-W). It is more substantial where the external ground slope is gradual, though it has been robbed in the NE quadrant. The interior ground level rises towards the centre.
- TN015-079 Enclosure
Description
Situated in undulating terrain on Nenagh Golf Course. The area has been dramatically landscaped. Indicated as an enclosure on both the 1st ed. (1843) and 1903 ed. OS 6-inch maps. No visible trace of the enclosure at ground level though a roughly oval, landscaped platform (dims. c. 27m N-S; c. 25m E-W) may represent the remains of the site.
- TN015-099 Ringfort - rath
Description
Located on a S-facing slope with the E half in rough pasture and the W half on a golf course. Indicated on both 1st and 2nd ed. OS 6-inch maps as a circular enclosure, bisected on a N-S axis by a townland boundary. The E half of the enclosure (diam. c. 27m N-S) is defined by a low earth and stone bank (Wth c. 1.5m), overgrown with scrub. The W half has been levelled and the area landscaped to provide a tee on a golf course. The interior slopes to the S.
