Description
On the slopes of a low hill in pastureland. Very poorly preserved circular enclosure (D c. 40m) defined by a degraded scarp and external fosse from S to SW. A field boundary overlies the enclosing element from W to NE. No visible surface trace survives elsewhere. Description
Close to the summit of a low hill in grassland. Subcircular rath (N-S c. 40m, E-W 35m) defined by a bank and external fosse. The bank is best preserved from NNW through N to ENE, a scarp forms the enclosing element from ENE through S to SW; elsewhere a field boundary overlies the enclosing element. A number of other field boundaries cut the monument. An enclosure (GA019-008----) lies c. 160m to N and two ringforts (GA019-010---- and GA019-013----) lie c. 170m and c. 5m to SSW and E respectively. Description
Some 170m SSW of a ringfort (GA019-009----). Very poorly preserved subcircular rath (NE-SW c. 45m) defined by an overgrown bank from NE through E to SSW. No visible surface trace survives elsewhere. Description
Adjacent to county road, overlooking bogland to N and gently undulating grassland to S. Marked on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map by a dot but evidently removed by the time of 3rd ed. (1931) when the words 'Site of' are appended. No visible surface trace survives. Two similar monuments (GA019-017----, GA019-012----) lay 170m SE and 150m to SW, respectively, and there was also a names bush (GA019-016----) 40m to NW.
