Description
On a ridge in grassland overlooking a turlough. Poorly preserved subcircular ringfort (NNW-SSE 25.5m, NNE-SSW 22.2m) defined by a bank and external fosse. The bank is extant from ENE through S to WNW; elsewhere the td. boundary forms the enclosing element. The fosse survives from SSW to W. Immediately outside the bank at E and S are two small quarries. Description
Within an enclosure (GA086-178002-). Marked on 3rd ed. of OS 6-inch map (1948) as the 'Site of' a 'Church'. All that is visible is a shallow rectangular depression (L 19m, Wth 8m), aligned N-S. Within it is a small circular mound (D c. 4m, H 0.3m), the centre of which is hollow. Description
In marshy ground on N bank of a small stream; the monument is overlooked by a partially quarried esker ridge to S. A well-preserved rectangular enclosure (E-W 31m, N-S 28m) defined by an earthen bank and external fosse. Possible entrance at S. From S to SW, the bank is overlain by a modern field boundary, and here the fosse has been disturbed by the widening of a stream. There is a church (GA086-178001-) in the interior.
