Description
Located in pasture on a gentle W-facing slope. This feature is depicted faintly as a small oval enclosure (dims c. 20m E-W; c. 15m) only on the 1835 edition of the OS 6-inch map where it is described in gothic lettering as a ‘Fort’. No archaeological feature is not visible at ground level in pasture. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
