  Description

  Located towards the S end of a low N-S ridge. A stone-lined cist (LE033-049002-) containing a bowl food vessel with a cremation was discovered in 1934 during the removal of a cairn (diam. c. 9m) (NMI file). There is a detailed account of the discovery in the Schools Manuscripts from Drumeen School (IFC: Schools Collection, vol. 0220, 183-4). (Waddell 1970, 122; 1990, 105-6; Ó Ríordáin and Waddell 1993, 118) The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J.   Description

  Located towards the S end of a low N-S ridge. A stone-lined cist (dims c. 0.9m x c. 0.6m; D c. 0.4m) containing a bowl food vessel with a cremation was discovered in 1934 during the removal of a cairn (LE033-049001-) (NMI file). The cist was preserved in situ, but it is not visible now at ground level.
