  Description

  In a slight E-W valley. Circular scrub-covered area (diam. 27m N-S; 25m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.6-1m), with a drystone field wall built on the perimeter NE-SSE. There is no visible fosse or entrance. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010

  Description

  On top of a low drumlin. Subcircular grass-covered area with some bushes (int. dims. 29m E-W; 26m N-S) defined by a stone spread (Wth 2-3.5m; int. H 0.1-0.4m; ext. H 0.2-1m), which has disappeared at W. There are no facing stones visible nor can an entrance be seen, but a rectangular house platform (RO003-024002-) (dims. 6m NE-SW; 2.7m NW-SE) defined by facing stones is at the highest point of the interior at SE. • RO003-025001 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  On a low rise. Subcircular area (dims. 36.5m NE-SW; 31m NW-SE) defined by a scarp (H 0.6m at SW to 2m at SE) SE-W-N, and a stone spread (Wth 3m; H 0.3-0.55m) elsewhere. It is bisected by a NE-SW field wall and is overgrown to the SE and grass-covered to the NW of this feature. It is described as having stones inside the bank at E, indicating use as a childrens burial ground (RO003-025002-) (OS Name Books). There is no trace of these stones now.   Description

  On a low rise, and within the perimter of rath (RO003-025001-) at E. The rath is described as a an earthen fort with stones inside the bank at E, indicating use as a childrens burial ground (OS Name Books). There is no trace of the stones now.   Description

  On a rise in a low-lying landscape. Circular overgrown area (diam. c. 26m), which remains unplanted in a deciduous forest, defined by a scarp (H 0.1-0.6m).   Description

• RO003-092 Fulacht fia
  Description

  In a boggy upland hollow. A kidney-shaped mound (dims. 13m E-W; 7m N-S; H 0.5-0.75m) of fire-cracked sandstone open to the S was excavated (96E0117) revealing two primary troughs. At the centre was an oval trough (dims 3m NE-SW; 1.55m NW-SE; D 0.2-0.45m) with a subcircular trough (dims 1.9m N-S; 1.45m E-W; D 0.3m) at the W end of the mound with a pot-boiler between them, all of which were broadly contemporary although the W trough was less developed. A third oval trough (dims 2m NW-SE; 1.7m NE-SW; D 0.5-0.8m) cut the SE edge of the central trough, None of the troughs were lined.
