  Description

  Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 30m) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a slight NW-SE ridge. An arc (C 16m) of a field bank (Wth 1m; H 1.4m) survives W-N, but this is unlikely to have been part of the monument. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010

• RO026-003 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  On a gentle SW-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 30.1m E-W; c. 27m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.8-4.3m; int. H 0.3-0.4m; ext. H 0.8-1.1m) separated by a fosse (Wth of base 3.2-4.2m; D 0.5m) from an outer bank (Wth 3.5-4m; H 0.2-0.5m). The inner bank is missing SE-S and the outer bank is missing WNW-N, while the entrance (Wth 3m) is at W. The monument is bisected by a N-S field wall (max. ext. diam. 49.4m E-W). • RO026-004 Ringfort - cashel
  Description

  On an E-facing slope. Oval grass-covered area (int. dims 34.8m N-S; 22.8m E-W) defined by a grass and scrub-covered stone spread (Wth 1.8-3.2m; H 0.2-0.6m) with intermittently visible facing-stones. The monument is truncated slightly by an E-W field bank at S and quarried into inside the perimeter at W. There is no identifiable original entrance. Rath (RO026-003----) is c. 220m to the WNW.
