Description
Marked only on the 1928 ed. of the OS 6-inch map where it is described in gothic lettering as 'Standing stone', and situated close to the summit of the ENE-WSW Slieve Dart ridge. Described as an upright stone (H c. 1.2m) (OS Name Book), there is no visible remains of the stone within a coniferous forest. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010

Description
On a W-facing slope close to the summit of the ENE-WSW Slieve Dart ridge. An area of broken and burnt stone (diam. c. 5m) visible in a field after reclaimation. An oak timber (L 8.5m; Wth c. 1m) with a narrow channel (Wth c. 0.2m; D c. 0.2m) cut in one surface was found c. 50m to the SW. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
