Description
Marked as a subcircular or oval embanked area (ext. dims c. 55m N-S; c. 45m E-W) on the 1837 and 1929 eds of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a gentle N-facing slope. Described as a rath with an earthen bank (Gannon 1972), it is not now visible at ground level in pasture, apart from a field bank and hedge at SW (L c. 25m) and W (L c. 30m). Description
Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 40m) only on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated in pasture at the crest of a SE-facing slope at the S end of a NW-SE drumlin ridge. Description
At the crest of a S-facing slope at the S end of a NW-SE drumlin ridge. Upright stone with a subrectangular cross-section (dims of base 0.9m N-S; 0.5m E-W; H 0.8m) which has had its top removed leaving a scar, and now has a whitethorn tree growing around its S edge.
