Description
At the crest of the S-facing slope of a low drumlin. Oval grass-covered area (dims c. 34m E-W; 27m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4-5.7m; int. H 0.6-1.1m; ext. H 1.7-2.2m) which is most massive (Wth 6.9m; int. H 1.1m; ext. H 2.4-3m) E-S, separated by a fosse (Wth of top 5.6-8.3m; Wth of base 3.2-5m; D 1-1.6m) from an outer bank (Wth 3.5-5.2m; ext. H 1m) which has been incorporated into a field bank NW-NNE and removed NNE-NE. There is an entrance through the inner (Wth 2.8m) and outer (Wth 2.9m) banks and a causeway (Wth of top 3.6m; H 0.4-0.8m) at ESE. Both banks and the fosse are overgrown (max. ext. dims 66.6m E-W; 51m N-S). Rath (RO023-028----) is c. 150m to the NW. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010

Description
On a slight W-facing slope of a broad low drumlin. Oval grass and scrub-covered area (dims 58.6m E-W; 31m N-S) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 3.8-4.5m; int. H 0.7-0.8m; ext. H 1.2-1.7m) which is reduced to a scarp (H 1.2-1.5m) N-NE and SE-SW, and a fosse (Wth of top 4-6m; Wth of base 2.3-2.8m; D 1.3m) NW-E-S which has been re-cut and faced with a stone wall on the outside NW-NE. On a gentle N-facing slope of a low drumlin. Circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 26m E-W; 25m N-S) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 2.6-4m; int. H 0.1-0.3m; ext. H 0.6-1m) with traces of inner facing-stones at S and a fosse (Wth of top 3-5.7m; Wth of base 1.6-1.9m; D 0.2-0.6m). There is no identifiable original entrance. Description
Marked as an island (diam. c. 15m) at what was a narrow part (Wth c. 35m) of Grange Lough (dims. c. 1km NE-SW; c. 100m NW-SE) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Situated now on a low N-S neck of land separating Bellacahan Lough (dims. c. 250m E-W; c. 100m N-S) to the NE from a smaller Grange Lough (dims. c. 700m ENE-WSW; c. 100-140m NNW-SSE) to the SW.
