  Description

  On a gentle E-facing slope at the E end of a low WNW-ESE ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 29.5m N-S; 29.4 E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.1-4.7m; int. H 0.1-0.3m; ext. H 0.4-0.9m) and an outer rounded fosse (Wth of top 5.2-6.4m; Wth of base 2.2-2.6m; D 0.25m). The entrance (Wth 2.2m) and causeway (Wth 4m) are at ENE. A hollow (dims 8.5m NNE-SSW; 2m WNW-ESE; D 0.5m) inside the perimeter at N may be a collapsed souterrain (RO028-211002-). Enclosure (RO028-238----) is c. 100m to the NW.   Description

  Description

  On a shelf in a low-lying landscape. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 59.3m E-W; 54.2m N-S) defined by a scarp (H 0.25-0.4m) with a fosse (Wth of top 5m; Wth of base 1.4m; int. D 0.3m; ext. D 0.15m) SSE-W and by a scarp (H 0.2-0.4m) N-SSE. There is no identifiable original entrance, and the perimeter is slightly truncated by a NE-SW road bank at NW. • RO028-238 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  Towards the top of the NE-facing slope of a WNW-ESE ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 31.6m NW-SE; 30.3m NE-SW) sloping down to the NE (H 2.2m) and defined by a low earthen bank (Wth 3.7m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.3m) E-S and (Wth 2.5m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 0.3m) W-N, with a scarp down to the interior (H 0.2m) S-W and outer scarp (H 0.9m) N-E. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance, but there is a quarry in the SE quadrant. Rath (RO028-211001-) is c. 100m to the SE.
