The proposed development will be located in the townland of Riverstown, approximately 2.2km north of Gorteen, Co. Sligo. The development will comprise of one (1) electricity generating wind turbine, which will have an overall maximum tip height of 180 meters, comprising a tower of nominally 112 meters high, and rotor diameter of up to 136 meters. The development will consist of permanent access tracks, hardstandings, an electrical substation building, an underground cable trench and ancillary site works. The maximum output capacity of the wind farm will be c.3.5mw.

Description
In pasture, on a N-facing slope. An oval area (int. diam. 14.3m N-S; 19.7m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 1.8m; int. H 0.45m; ext. H 0.5m) except along E arc where it is defined by a scarp (H 0.2m). The interior slopes down to N. Description
In pasture, on the S-facing slope of a drumlin. The enclosure is levelled and not visible at ground level. Indicated as an oval enclosure (c. 30m NNW-SSE; c. 20m ENE-WSW) on the 1838 OS 6-inch map, with trees planted outside the perimeter and one in the centre of the interior.
