Description
On a low rise of natural bedrock on a low ridge, immediately N of a stream. An arc (C c. 30m) of earth and stone bank (Wth 6m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1.4m) is evident along the N and E arcs. A quarry (D 2m) has removed the remainder of the rath to within 6m of the surviving bank. A souterrain (SL027-130002-) is indicated on the 1914 OS 6-inch map in the SW quadrant. Another rath (SL027-131----) lies c. 5m to E. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005). Description
On top of a knoll, on a low ridge c. 20m N of a stream. A circular area (diam. 24m) using the natural hillock which gives the impression of a raised interior. The interior is defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 2m) which survives best along the E and SE arcs and by a low internal lip elsewhere. A gap occurs in the bank at N. The bank is incorporated into a field boundary system to S. A lane skirts the rath to S. Another rath (SL027-130001-) lies c. 5m to W. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005). Description
In undulating pasture, on top of a ridge. A raised oval platform (25m E-W; 20m N-S) defined by a scarp (H 1.2m). Along SE arc the scarp is topped by an earthen bank (Wth 5m; int. H 0.9m; ext. 1.3m) for c. 8m. At the N end of the surviving portion of the bank is a stone-faced entrance (Wth 2m). Remains of stone facing is evident along the inner face of the bank. Some large stone slabs are visible in section along the face of the scarp at N. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005). Date of upload: 18 January 2008

Description
In undulating pasture, on the N-facing slope of a ridge. A slightly raised circular area (diam. c. 20m) defined by a scarp (H 0.4m) along the N and W arcs and by an earthen bank (Wth 4m; int. H 0.9m; ext. H 1m) along the S and E arcs. There is a shallow external fosse at the base of the scarp along the N and W arcs. Remains of stone facing is evident on the external face of the bank and on the internal face in parts. The interior is partially overgrown and slopes gently down to N. From cartographic evidence (the 1914 OS 6-inch map) the bank along the S and E arcs appears to have been incorporated into a field boundary system. Linear deep drains on E-W and N-S axes, lying to the S and E of the bank respectively, separate it from recently constructed field boundaries.

An external fosse is evident as a shallow depression, marked by a dense growth of rushes. The inner face of the bank at NE projects further into the interior than elsewhere, giving it a width of 6m. The interior slopes gently down to W. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
