Description
In pasture, adjacent to a field fence, located immediately N of a small rise. Named ‘Tobermolt’ on the 1838 and 1929 OS 6-inch maps, this well was, according to the 1838 OS Letters, formerly used as a holy well (O’Flanagan 1927, 176-7 (93-4)). A circular ringfort-sized enclosure (diam. 25-30m) is shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map, and on the 25-inch plan; it is not shown on the 1929 OS 6-inch edition.
