  Description

  Circular area (101m N-S; 104m E-W), on summit of ridge enclosed by three, and the remains of a fourth, earthen banks with intervening fosses. Stone field fence encloses the site SE to ENE, second fence encloses interior, inside inner bank. Interior rises towards the centre N to S. Inner banks and fosses well preserved and display evidence of stone revetment. Outer bank survives E to SE and WNW to N. Four gaps or entrances through banks and fosses at NNE, ENE, SSW, WNW. Gaps on NNE (Wth 3.5m) and ENE (Wth 3m) contain stonelined causeways. The above description has been derived from D.   Near road, in undulating pasture. Ringfort (MA118-111----) 150m to S. Roughly circular area (29m N-S; 35m E-W), raised 3.4m above surrounding field level, enclosed by low earthen bank (H 0.4m) with fosse and external bank on W. Two subrectangular hut sites in interior. Hut site 1 (MA118-110003-) (3.1m N-S; 2.8m E-W), on W side, defined by low earthen bank (H 0.3m) contains souterrain (MA118-110002-). Hut site 2 (MA118-110004-) (12.1m N-S; 6.4m E-W) on NE is defined by sod-covered foundations of stone wall. Ramp entrance (Wth 2.5m) on ESE. The above description has been derived from D.   On E side of ringfort (MA118-110001-), in hut site (MA118-110003-). Single subrectangular chamber (L 4.8m; Wth 1.6m; H 1m); stone-built and roofed with capstones resting on corbelling.   Description

  Located in the W half of a rath (MA118-110001-). Described by Knox (1911, 228-9) as the ‘foundations of a small rectangular building, 22 feet square’, enclosing the opening to a souterrain (MA118-110002-). In 1990 it was recorded as 'Hut site 1 (3.1m N-S; 2.8m E-W), on W side, defined by low earthen bank (H 0.3) contains souterrain' (Lavelle 1994).   Description

  In the N half of a a rath (MA118-110001-). Knox (1911, 228-9) recorded the foundations of a building, ‘39 feet by 17 feet’ [c. 12m by 5m] in the N half of the rath. In 1990 it was recorded as 'Hut site 2 (12.1m N-S; 6.4m E-W) on NE is defined by sod-covered foundations of stone wall.' (Lavelle 1994).   In undulating pasture, on E-facing slope, ringfort (MA118-110001-) 150m to N. Circular area (31m N-S; 33m E-W), defined by earthen bank (H 0.5m). Four low stone mounds in interior.
