  Description

  In a low-lying position at the NW edge of a basin. Oval grass-covered platform (dims 53m NW-SE; 45m NE-SW) defined by a scarp (H 0.8-1.1m) and fosse (Wth of top 4-5.5m; D 0.1-0.4m) which is largely re-cut as a field drain.   Description

  At the crest of the NE-facing slope and towards the NW end of a broad NW-SE ridge. Oval grass-covered area (dims 45.8m NW-SE; 35.8m NE-SW) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2-3m; int. H 0.4-0.6m; ext. H 0.8-1.1m) which is incorporated into a field bank N-NE and WNW-NW. There is no visible fosse, but the entrance (Wth 1.4m) is at SE. • RO027-080001 Enclosure
  Description

  On the N-facing slope of a WNW-ESE ridge. Rectangular grass-covered area (dims 82m N-S; 78m E-W) defined by earthen banks (Wth 3.2m; H 0.4-0.9m), with slight internal and external silted drains (Wth of base 1-1.8; D 0.1m) at E. The bank is best preserved at the NW angle where it is overgrown (Wth 3.5m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1.4m) with internal (Wth of base 1.4m; D 0.4m) and external (Wth of base 1.2m; D 0.3m) drains. There is no recognisable entrance, and cairn (RO027-080002-), probably a clearance cairn, is inside the SW angle. It has been reclaimed since 2002 (Bing c. 2013).   Description

  At the crest of the N-facing slope of a WNW-ESE ridge, and within the SW angle of the rectangular enclosure (RO028-240001-). Circular grass-covered and flat-topped cairn (diam. of base 10.9m E-W; 10m N-S; H 0.2m at S to 0.4m at N), which is probably a clearance cairn. It has been removed since 2002 (Bing c. 2013).   Description

  On a gentle N-facing slope of a WNW-ESE ridge. This is a rectangular grass-covered area (dims 26m NNE-SSW; c. 26m WNW-ESE) defined by earthen banks (Wth 2.6-2.8m; H 0.1-0.3m), the E side of which extends off to the N as a field bank, and the S side of which extends off to the NW and SE. A house site (RO028-247002-) (int. dims 7.7m NNE-SSW; 3m WNW-ESE) defined by earthen banks (Wth 1.8-3.4m; H 0.1-0.3m) with entrances towards the N end of the long walls straddles the NE side of the enclosure.   On a gentle N-facing slope of a WNW-ESE ridge. The rectangular enclosure (RO028-247001-) is straddled by a house site at N. This is a grass-covered area (int. dims 7.7m N-S; 3m E-W) defined by earthen banks (Wth 1.8-3.4m; H 0.1-0.3m) with entrances towards the N end of the long walls. • RO028-247003 Field system
  Description

  On a gentle N-facing slope of a WNW-ESE ridge. The rectangular enclosure (RO028-247001-) is straddled by the house site (RO028-247002-) at N. About 30m to the N of the enclosure an E-W field bank may be the S edge of an ENE-WSW road. This field bank could also be connected to the NE corner of enclosure (RO027-080001-) c. 200m to the W, forming part of a field system covering about 14 acres (c. 5.5 ha). The fields are large (dims c. 100m x c. 50) defined by grass-covered earthen banks (Wth 2-3m; H 0.2-0.4m) with no evidence of lazy-bed cultivation.
