• RO004-022001 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  Visible as a slight feature on aerial photographs (GSIAP: G 213-2), and situated on the summit of a slight rise. Oval grass-covered area (dims. c. 55m N-S; c. 45m E-W) defined by a slight scarp (H 0.3-0.7m). There is no visible fosse or entrance, but there is a local tradition of a cave in the interior which may be a souterrain (RO004-022002-). Rath (RO004-021----) is c. 100m to the W.   Description

• RO004-023 Sweathouse
  Description

  Marked only on the 1914 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on the E-facing slope of a drumlin against the S face of a field bank. It is c. 75m NE of a farmstead and there is an E-W stream immediately N of the field bank. This is a stone-filled rectangular depression (dims 2.3m N-S; 2m E-W; max.
