  Description

  On the W-facing slope of a drumlin. Circular grass-covered earthen mound (diam. 10.2-10.5m; H 2m at N to 3.9m at W) with a slightly dished summit (diam. 2.6m). There is a berm (Wth 5.7m) around the base at E (max ext. diam. c. 25m) and, according to John O'Donovan in 1837, it was known as 'Dumha na Mias' (O'Flanagan 1931, vol. 1, 95-6).   Description

  Towards the top of the E-facing slope of a drumlin. Circular overgrown area (diam. c. 30m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3-4m; int. H 0.2-0.8m; ext. H 1.1-1.45m) revetted internally by upright stones. The bank is separated by a fosse (at W: Wth of top 6.4m; Wth of base 3.5m; D 0.3m) SE-W-N, reduced to a berm (Wth 7-7.6m) NE-E, from a middle bank (Wth 5.5-6m; int. H 0.3-0.6m; ext. H 0.3-0.6m) which survives SE-N. An outer fosse (Wth of top 3.7m; D 0.05-0.6m) girdles the entire monument, with a third earthen bank (Wth 3.5-3.6m; int. H 0.6m; ext. • RO006-196 Road - road/trackway
  Description

  On a N-facing slope. Aerial photographs from the OS apparently show a linear earthwork, most of which is contained in a townland boundary. It is marked on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as a laneway (L c. 300m) running N-S to a house at its S end, c. 50m SW of ring-barrow (RO006-079----). On the map the road does not continue the 300m at its N end leading to the main road into Boyle.
