  Description

  Marked as an oval enclosure (dims c. 65m NW-SE; c. 50m NE-SW) only on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on the gentle W-facing slope of a low hill. It is not visible at ground level in pasture. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010

• RO036-028 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  On the gentle E-facing slope of a small hill. Circular grass-covered area (diam. c. 40m N-S; 39m E-W) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 1.2-1.4m; int. H 0.2-0.8m; ext. H 0.4-1m), best preserved at S (Wth 3.6m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.4m). The bank survives SE-W-NW, but is reduced to a scarp (H 0.45-0.6m) ENE-SE and removed NE-ENE. There is a rounded fosse (Wth of base 1.8-2.2m; D 0.5-0.6m) SE-S and an entrance (Wth 2m) which is not original at SSW. Rath (RO036-061----) is c. 70m to the W.   Description

  On the S-facing slope of a low hill. Described in 1987 as a circular grass-covered area (diam. 45m N-S; 45m E-W) defined by a low earthen bank (Wth 4.4-6.5m; H 0.15-0.25m). There was no visible fosse but there was a gap (Wth 5m) at W (SMR file). It is now a circular dished and grass-covered area (diam. c. 45m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4.4m; int. H 0.15m; ext.
