  Description

  On the E-facing slope of a drumlin overlooking the River Shannon, c. 400m to the NE. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 28m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.5m; int. H 0.2-0.45m; ext. H 0.6-0.9m) SW-W and a scarp (H 0.4m generally to 1.1m at E) elsewhere, with an external fosse (Wth of top 2.5-4m; D 0.2-0.6m) SW-N. There is a possible lime-kiln, visible as a rectangular grass-covered mound (dims 4m E-W; 3m N-S; H 0.5-1m) on the inner edge of the perimeter at SE with a rectangular depression (dims 2m N-S; 2m E-W; D 0.5-1m) defined by drystone walling at its centre.   Description

  Marked as a small rectangular feature only on the 1914 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated at the bottom of a S-facing slope, just above the flood plain of Lough Naseer (max. dims c. 680m NE-SW; c. 200m NW-SE) c. 220m to the SE. Rectangular grass and scrub-covered area (dims 44m N-S; 37m E-W) defined by a scarp down to the interior (H 0.4m) at N, an external scarp (H 0.7m) overlain by a tumbled drystone wall at S, a field bank (Wth c. 5m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 0.4m) at E, and a field bank (Wth c. 3m; int. H 0.1m) and drain at W which extend off to the N and S. The outline of a rectangular structure that may be a house (RO007-056002-) (int. dims 12.6m N-S; c. 10m E-W) defined by drystone tumble and which is open to the W is at the centre.   Description

  Towards the NE end of Lough Naseer (max. dims. c. 680m NE-SW; c. 200m NW-SE) where the lake is widest and c. 100m from the NW, NE and SE shores. Circular overgrown mound (diam. c. 20m; H 0.5m) of earth and stone. There is a fragment of a disc quern at the surface. Rath (RO007-058----) is c. 120m to the ENE on the shore.   Description

  On a flat, low-lying landscape immediately E of a N-S drain. A spread of burnt and broken stone (dims 9m E-W; D c. 0.2-0.3m) was uncovered (07E1135) during 2007 in a test trench (Wth 1.8m) and conserved within a re-designed development.   Description

  On a flat, low-lying landscape. Archaeological testing (07E1135) of a development site during 2007 produced evidence of a number of pits and the slot-trench (diam. 7m; Wth 0.2-0.45m; D 0.1m) of a probable hut-site.
