Description
Marked as a circular enclosure (ext. diam. c. 40m) only on the 1915 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a gently undulating landscape towards the bottom of a W-facing slope. It has been described as a circular area (diam. 32m) defined by an earth and stone bank (Gannon 1972), but this is no longer visible in pasture. Description
On limestone outcrop on a gentle W-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (int. diam. 29.2m N-S; 27.7m E-W) defined by a scrub-covered stone spread, which is best preserved (Wth 4.4-6.6m; int. H 0.5-0.9m; ext. H 0.6-0.8m) SE-SW, and has traces of a wall facing (at W: original Wth 2.2-2.4m). There are entrances at WNW (Wth 2m), ENE (Wth 3m) and S (Wth 2.65m), but the S part of the interior has been quarried. The perimeter is slightly truncated by an E-W field wall at N. Description
Located on a gentle S-facing slope. An area of bare limestone karst with grass and scrub covering about 60 acres (c. 24 ha) contains the grass-covered remains of stone walls creating fields that are roughly rectangular in form (dims c. 50m x c. 100m).
