  Description

  Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 55-60m) on the 1837 and 1914 eds of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on top of a drumlin. An arc of an earthen bank (at E: Wth 3.7m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.5m) survives incorporated into a field bank and hedge NE-S-SW encompassing a circular area (diam. c. 60m), but the perimeter is truncated by a NW-SE farm lane and sheds at W and cannot be traced elsewhere. Archaeological testing (11E0265) immediately to the E and S failed to produce any related archaeological material (Morahan 2011). See Excavations.ie (2011:527).   Description

  Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 35m) on the 1837 and 1914 eds of the OS 6-inch map, and situated at the E end of a low NW-SE drumlin ridge. An arc (C c. 20m) of an earthen bank (Wth 2.7m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1.2m) and shallow fosse (Wth of top 3m; Wth of base 1.3m; D 0.2m) survive NNE-SE where they are incorporated into a field bank and hedge. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010

  Description

  At the E end of a low NW-SE ridge, just off the crest on a gentle E-facing slope and overlooking the SW end of Grange Lough, which is c. 100m to the S. Circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 29m E-W; 27m N-S) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 3.7-4.2m; int. H 0.6-0.9m; ext. H 0.9-1.2m) and outer fosse (Wth of top 3.3-4m; Wth of base 1-1.8m; D 0.9-1.3m) NW-E-SW which is replaced by a road elsewhere. An entrance (Wth 1m) at E is probably not original.
