  Description

  Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 35m) only on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Situated on a gentle SW-facing slope, and visible as a cropmark (diam. c. 30m) of a bank feature on vertical aerial photographs (GSIAP: M217-6). It is also visible on Bing images (c. 2013) but it is not visible at ground level in pasture. The rath (RO044-007----) is c. 70m to the N. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010

  Description

  Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 50m) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and situated on a level landscape. It is visible as a cropmark (diam. c. 30m) defined by a bank feature on vertical aerial photographs (GSIAP: M217-6; OSAP: 2000), but is not visible at ground level in a cereal crop.   Description

  Detached five-bay two-storey country house over basement, built c.1720, with gabled return to rear and two-storey addition to rear. Pitched slate roof with rendered chimneystacks. Roughcast-rendered walls, with cement render to basement. Six-over-six pane timber sliding sash windows to ground floor and replacement two-over-two pane to first floor, with tooled limestone sills. Round-headed window opening to rear elevation. Windows set in recesses to side elevations. Octagonal window to attic storey in entrance bay. Round-headed doorway with tooled limestone block-and-start surround, decorative fanlight and timber battened door with iron studs and door furniture.
