  Description

  On a level landscape. D-shaped grass-covered area (dims. 38m E-W; 28m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (at W: Wth 4.8m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.8m) with a slight outer fosse (at W: Wth of base 1.3m; D 0.3m) SSE-W, and a scarp (H 0.9m) E-S. The site is truncated at N by an E-W road and overlain by a N-S field bank and drain towards the perimeter at E. There is a modern entrance (Wth 3m) at SSW. • RO014-027 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  At the E end of a short E-W spur. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 34m E-W; 33.1m N-S) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 2.1-2.6m; int. H 0.1-0.3m; ext. H 0.6m) NE-S and SW-NW, which is reduced to a scarp (H 0.5m) elsewhere, and circumvented by a road wall NNW-NNE. There is an outer fosse (Wth of base 2- 2.7m; D 0.1-0.2m) E-S but no visible entrance, and the site is bisected by a NNE-SSW field wall. Archaeological testing c. 30m to the E uncovered part of a ditch (Wth 0.6-0.7m; D 0.4m) (Henry 2009c), but testing c. 10m to the N produced no archaeological material (Henry 2009d).   Description

  At the crest of an E-W spur. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 42.5m N-S; 39.8m E-W) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 3.4-4.5m; int. H 0.4-0.6m; ext. H 0.9-1.7m) SE-W-NNE, with a fosse (Wth of top 5.2-6.4m; Wth of base 2.5-2.7m; D 0.1-0.4m) SW-NNE, and by the fosse alone (Wth of top 8m; int. D 0.4m; ext. D 0.2m) NNE-SE. There is a modern entrance (Wth 2m) at NW, and a NNE-SSW field wall bisects the interior just E of the centre. Rath (RO014-027----) is c. 90m to the WNW.   Description

  On a gentle N-facing slope of an E-W spur. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 38.9m N-S; 36m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.3m; int. H 0.1-0,3m; ext. H 1.1-1.3m) which has been reduced to a scarp (H 0.3m) ENE-ESE and which has been quarried (D 1.3m) SW-NW. It is surrounded by a fosse (Wth of base 2.2m at S to 4-5.2m generally; D 0.5m-1.1m), with an overgrown outer bank (Wth 1.4m at N to 3.5m at W; ext. H 0.6-0.8m) SSW-W-NNE which is incorporated into a road bank SE-SSW. There is a rectangular grass-covered house platform (RO014-029002-) (dims 10m E-W; 8m N-S; H 0.2-0.6m) at the centre, and the site is overlain by an overgrown NNE-SSW field bank W of the house platform.
