  Description

  Marked as a circular feature (diam. c. 35m) with trees on its perimeter on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and as a hachured feautre, perhaps a quarry on the 1914 ed. It is situated on a flat low-lying landscape and is not now visible at ground level in pasture. Enclsoure (RO003-061----) is c. 50m to the ESE and rath (RO003-062001-) is c. 160m to the SSW. • RO003-061 Enclosure
  Description

  Marked only on the 1914 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Situated on flat ground on the SE-facing slope of a rise, with a NE-SW stream c. 60m to the SE. Circular overgrown area (diam. 11m E-W; 10m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.2m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 0.35m) with traces of inner and outer facing stones NW-N and at SE, which is reduced to a scarp (H 0.6m to 1.1m at E) elsewhere. There is no visible fosse or entrance. Earthwork (RO003-060----) is c. 50m to the WNW and rath (RO003-062001-) is c. 170m to the SW. It was removed by 2005 (OSI aerial photographs). • RO003-062001 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  On a low rise in a low-lying landscape. Circular grass and rush-covered area (diam. 25.7m N-S; 25.2m E-W) defined by an overgrown but gapped and poached earthen bank (Wth 4.5-6m; int. H 0.2m at E to 0.5-0.8m generally; ext. H 1.8m generally to 2.5m at S). There is no visible fosse or original entrance, but an upright limestone stone (RO003-062002-) (dims. 0.8m x 0.1m; H 0.75m) is inside the perimeter at ENE. • RO004-042 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  Towards the bottom of the NW-facing slope of a drumlin. Circular area (diam. 25m) defined by a scarp (H 0.2-1m) S-E which merges into the slope elsewhere with some coniferous trees on the perimeter. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance. Rath (RO003-063----) is c. 120m to the NW and rath (RO004-043----) is c. 220m to the E.   Description

  Towards the bottom of the NE-facing slope of a drumlin. Circular grass-covered but poached area (diam. 26m E-W; 25.5m N-S) defined by a scarp (H 0.2m at S to 1.35m at E), which is incorporated into a N-S hedge W-NW. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance, but there is an E-W field wall to the S and a farmyard to the N. Rath (RO004-042----) is c. 220m to the W.
