  Description

  Situated in level, lowlying pasture. Depicted as a large, roughly rectangular enclosure on the 1837 OS 6-inch map. This enclosure has been partly levelled. It is visible as a rectangular area (c. 56m NW-SE; c. 50m NE-SW) defined on the NW, NE and SE sides by an infilled fosse, visible as a wide, shallow depression (Wth. c. 8m). It is bordered on the SW side by a substantial field boundary (Wth 4m) which may incorporate remnants of an original bank. Another field bank, on a NE–SW axis, bordered on its N side by a farm/cattle track, cuts through the NW end of the enclosure. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 19 January 2011

  Description

  Situated on the W-facing slope of a low N-S ridge in pasture. Shown on the 1837 OS 6-inch map as a roughly oval enclosure, and on the 1913 edition as a hachured D-shaped area. Raised semi-circular area (diam. c. 25m N–S; 15m E–W to field fence) defined on the curving side at SSE–N by a scarp (H 1m), and on the straight side to E by a field fence on a NNW–SSE axis. To E of the field fence, the rath has been levelled and only ephemeral undulations are visible. At the outer foot of the scarp at S–NW is a modern roadway. Compiled by: Patrick F.   Description

  Situated on a low rise in undulating pasture. Depicted as a circular enclosure on the 1837 edition of the OS 6-inch map. Roughly circular area (diam. 28m) enclosed in parts at at W, N and E by fragmentary remains of a bank (Wth 4.4m; max. int. H 1m; ext. H 1.2m, at W) and elsewhere by low undulations. An ENE-WSW field boundary/townland boundary cuts through the S third of the rath. Heaps of field clearance debris, and evidence for quarrying, within enclosed area. Compiled by: Patrick F.   Description

  Detached three-bay single-storey rendered house built c. 1935, with single-storey return c. 1820. Front south-facing elevation symmetrical with central entrance porch flanked by forward projecting square gabled bays containing coupled windows. Return with castellated square porch on east elevation. Hipped slate roof to main house, painted smooth-rendered corbelled chimneystacks symmetrically disposed on ridge, crested clay ridge tiles, plain clay hip tiles, painted timber fascias and decorative barges to bays, half-round cast-iron gutters. Lead flat roof to porch with vertically-boarded frilled segmental fascia spanning between bays, painted smooth-rendered cast-insitu concrete walls. Square-headed window openings, painted smooth-rendered slightly-projecting reveals, concrete sills, painted margined timber sash windows coupled with beaded and consoled pilasters. Painted half-glazed timber double entrance doors, plain-glazed fanlight and sidelights. Farmyard with outbuildings to north-west.
