  Description

  In level poorly drained pasture. A slightly raised circular area (36.4m N-S; 37.6m E-W) enclosed by two earthen banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank (Wth 5.4m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1.65m) is low and eroded internally but with a broad external slope. The possible entrance (Wth 2m) is at NE, lined with two contiguous stones on the N side. The fosse (Wth 3m) is evident S-SE. The outer bank (Wth 4.7m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 0.7m) is best evident SW-N, partially levelled N-SE and levelled SE-SW. The interior is slightly raised in the centre and towards the S and is poached by cattle and covered in rushes. A field boundary and drain lie immediately to N and a drain immediately to S.   Description

  In undulating pasture, on a low rise in the N corner of a field. A slightly raised circular area (27.7m NW-SE) enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth 3.5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.5m) which is generally low and degraded internally. A possible entrance (Wth 3.4m) is at SE. The interior slopes slightly down towards SE; off-centre to E is a slightly raised area (L 3m; Wth 1.4m; H 0.1m) with some stones protruding through the sod. There is a small area of quarrying close to the rath at W. Field boundaries skirt the bank along the NW and NE arcs.   Description

  In pasture, on a slight rise. An oval area (int. diam. 21.5m N-S; 35.5m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.2m). Traces of a fosse (Wth 2m; D 0.3m) are evident along the NW arc. The entrance (Wth 1.5m) with a ramp is at NW. The interior is clear of overgrowth and a few bushes grow on the bank.   Description

  Single-arch stone road-over-river bridge, built c. 1833. Coursed squared rubble limestone walling, inverted shallow V-shape to parapets, plain ashlar parapet string course, plain square ashlar parapet copings. Elliptical-headed arch, dressed limestone ashlar voussoirs, smooth-rendered soffit. Bitmac two carriageway road over. Grass banks sloping to river. Bridge spans Owenbeg River.

  Description

  End-of-terrace three-bay two-storey rendered house, built c. 1880. Integral carriage arch to south, gabled porch to north. Pitched slate roof, pair of brick corbelled chimneystacks. Cast-iron gutters on projecting painted timber fascia, painted timber barge boards, cast-iron downpipe. Painted smooth-rendered ruled-and-lined walling. Square-headed window openings, painted stone sills, painted one-over-one timber sash windows. Square-headed door opening in porch, hardwood six-panel door c. 1995. Square-headed carriage arch, painted timber vertically-sheeted double gates incorporating pass gate. Street fronted.

  Description

  Detached three-bay single-storey stone former railway goods shed, built c. 1860, now disused. Pitched slate roof, clay ridge tiles, cast-iron rainwater goods mainly missing, painted timber overhanging eaves, painted timber projecting barge boards. Coursed squared rubble limestone walling, projecting tooled ashlar quoins. Segmental-arched window opening to south gable, brick dressings, stone sills, painted multi-pane casement windows. Combination of segmental-arched and square-headed window openings to north elevation, limestone dressings to square-headed opening with stone sill and painted two-over-two sash window. Segmental-arched window opening has brick dressings, stone sill and multi-pane casement windows. Square-headed door openings, limestone dressings, raised quoins to door to east elevation, doors missing. Railway track to east now taken up, service road to west, squared rubble stone wall with semi-circular coping parallel to east elevation extends south to station.

  Description

  Detached, multi-bay, two-storey railway station house with attached single-storey waiting room to north, built c. 1890. Covered waiting area to east of ticket office, single-storey canted bay window on east side of two-storey block, enclosed yard to west. Vacant at present. Pitched slate roof, clay ridge tiles, red brick chimneystacks with cut stone cornice caps, painted timber projecting fascias (forming covered waiting area on east side), painted timber fretwork projecting bargeboards, gutters missing, cast-iron downpipes. Lead hips to canted bay. Painted roughcast walling, sparrow-pecked ashlar limestone quoins, coursed rubble limestone wall to yard. Square-headed window openings, painted smooth-rendered reveals, painted stone sills, two-over-two painted timber sash windows. Square-headed door opening, painted timber two-panel double doors to waiting room. Cast-iron columns support overhanging waiting area roof, painted timber bench seats with vertically-sheeted backs. Concrete platform, rail tracks still present, garden area to west and south.
