Description
Situated on slight rise in gently undulating pasture. Raised circular area (dims. 32m N-S; 31m E-W) enclosed by a low, broad bank of earth (Wth 4.25m; int. H 0.35m). At NW and at SW the bank is absent and the defining element is a scarp (H 2.3m). The bank has been removed and the edge of the site removed from NE-E and from SE-SW. Description
Situated in gently undulating pasture. Raised circular area (dims. 26m E-W; 24m N-S) enclosed by a bank of earth and stone (Wth 10m; int. H 1.4m). The external fosse is visible as a very slight depression (Wth 4m; D 0.1) SW-WNW. A break in the bank at NW (Wth 4m) marks the position of the original entrance. Description
Situated on N shore of inlet at W side of Ballysadare Bay in level pasture. Roughly D-shaped raised area (20.5m E-W; 10m N-S) enclosed by a bank of earth (Wth 3.75m; int. H 0.2m) from WSW-ESE. It is defined by a 2m high E-W orientated scarp (H 2m) E-S-W. A fosse (Wth 3.55m; D 0.4m) lies at the external foot of the bank W-E. Description
Situated on NNW-SSE orientated natural ridge in gently undulating pasture. The ridge is one of a series of very low natural ridges traversing the peninsula that leads to Portavaud point. Roughly rectangular area (dims. 5m NW-SE; 3.1m NE-SW) enclosed by an earthen scarped edge (ext. H 0.35m) with an external fosse (Wth 1.5m; D 0.2m-0.4m).
